Alayna Christopher

Alayna is passionate about understanding how policy and protecting the environment intersect, and how she can create sustainable, efficient solutions to everyday issues to create healthy environments for all. As a rising senior at the University of South Florida, Alayna will receive her B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy with a minor in Political Science.
Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Alayna has been immersed in the multiple agricultural industries within the state and has found a deep interest in understanding how climate change affects different environments across the country. Her passion for understanding the inner workings of the environment, the effects on populations socially, and how policies are all connected drives her work today.
Alayna is currently enrolled in The Washington Center, where she is placed in Washington, D.C., for the summer to get an idea of what a career within environmental science would look like in the future.
